And I think the big application here in this first movement is, And I'll try to explain this to you, but I put it as respond to him.

But we were thinking about Jesus saying at the conclusion of that sermon, the person who hears these words of mine and does them is like a man who built his house on the rock.

The man who hears these words and does not do them is like a man who built his house on the sand.

The storms came and his house was toppled over because of the weak foundation upon which it was built.

Jesus is going to talk to a few cities here who hear his words, hear a lot more than even his words, the powerful miracles that he produced, but yet they do nothing.

It says in verse 20, Then he, Jesus, began to denounce the cities... where, look at this, most of his mighty works had been done because they did not repent.

And apparently, according to Matthew, most of Jesus' miraculous works were done in this little region, the region of around or to the north of the Sea of Galilee.
