Host Jason Michael Perry sits down with Greg Morton, data editor at The Baltimore Banner, to talk about what AI is actually doing inside a newsroom — and why admitting you used it can cost you a…
I hear there's a growing list of great people who are going to come, moderate, speak, be part of panelists.
Can you give us a quick rundown of what we can expect at BannerX this year?
So, I mean, I think BannerX is really going to be a bunch of people from a bunch of different industries asking similar questions to the ones that we've been discussing here.
You know, I don't think there are easy answers in a lot of industries for how to apply, how to scale, how to manage, how to, you know, assess the impact of AI.
And it's going to be a bunch of interesting conversations from a bunch of people and a different positions on how they're thinking about those questions and how they're going about answering them.
Question for you, you know, as a moderator on one of those panels, what are you most looking forward to in your conversation?
Well, I'm moderating the panel on data centers, and it's a very contentious topic, especially here in Maryland.
We've talked about it with Jenny Obamu from WAMU before on the podcast, and This so much has happened.
So much has changed between, well, government groups starting to put mandates saying that data centers can't be built to some of the things that are still happening around energy costs.
And so I'm hoping that we can talk about the pros and the cons and also talk about what it means for businesses in this community.
