And at that time, I remember I was using AI to build it, but it wasn't at all like I'm using AI to build stuff or you or maybe somebody else is doing it now.

Back then, it was more of a glorified stack overflow, whereas it's like, I go like this is kind of like how developers used to work before.

Like they always had like a bug or like a thing that they wanted to add.

They search for it.

They found their answers in some developer forums, Stack Overflow and many others.

Right.

And then they just read through the comments and read through the thing.

And that's one of the reasons why trust has gone, well, down.

So a Stack Overflow study showed that confidence in AI-generated code actually dropped from forty-three percent to twenty-nine percent in two years, and one of the top frustrations for developers was that AI solutions are almost right, but not quite, right? It's almost like, you know, there's more than, you know, one way to write a specific piece of code, right? There's more than one way to design a certain website.

And sometimes what we've seen, and maybe this is, uh, with some of the companies trying to get more token efficient and not necessarily get things right.

Again, that's why, at least for me, sometimes I personally prefer, uh, y- you know, using, um, you know, Codex, uh, GPT 4 extra high.

I wish I had something like that whenever I was a junior.

Whenever I was a junior, you had Stack Overflow and it would be days sometimes in some of those things.

And it's like, what am I doing? I'm just tired of this.

And now AI can at least get you somewhat 80, 90% there.

So.

Yeah.

And, you know, I think Stack Overflow, that's so funny because who didn't have like 18 tabs open trying to find the answer to the exact problem that you needed.

And it's never quite the exact thing.

In two years, from what I could find, the only paying customer they ever got and they ever named is a newsreader app.

And there's a company that if you're in tech, you've probably heard of Stack Overflow.

They described what happened when they switched the paywall on.

Stack Overflow is the programmer's question and answer website.

This happened earlier this year.

I don't think Stack Overflow is doing really well.

That's what AI is doing to the internet.

among other things, and they've been adding bad crawlers to block lists by hand until they got crazy, so they just started answering with a 402 instead.

And it's not just a movie by Steven Spielberg.

It's, you know, computers giving you some, I mean, it's like being able to Google and Stack Overflow and Wiki, but like it talks to you.

Do you talk to it? Yeah, it's conversational.

Yeah, if you think of

like those analysts, you're trying to work an incident and going to Stack Overflow or going to Reddit to understand what to do next, you've got a really good use case for Gen-AI to insert in there as an accelerator.

Is

CTI more valuable and developed as a red team or a blue team capability?

You know, there's a number that kinda backs up kinda what you're saying here, which is that roughly half of developers used to use, I think it was, like, in 2024, roughly half of the developers used eight or more resources to learn things.

Now that we're in 2026, that number has dropped down to 7%, you know, per Stack, Stack Overflow, and they're using AI to learn, right? And that has jumped up 64%.

This "how do I get better" habit is starting to collapse, and one of the things that worries me about this is if when we go in and we look at development and we look at strong developers, again, we're gonna focus on the code side here, there's almost an art to it.

There's a fingerprint.

Where it is on the page, what chapter, yeah.

But it's, it's what we had 40 years ago.

When we got Google and Stack Overflow, some of that you could go on Google and search for it and, you know, get unstuck that way.

Now LLM is, LLMs are so much quicker.
