On this week’s episode we try to consolidate our thoughts on the Habs season since it ended, talk about the near-trade for Matthew Knies, complain about Dylan Larkin, and hand out our Habsland MVP.

Let's start happy.
Okay.
Um, so I'll answer what did the teach in, uh, what did the season teach us for the better first.
Uh, the core works.
That's my first answer.
I got three answers for each of these.
I don't know how many you have, but I'll start with my first one.
The core straight up works.
I could add some, but that's already a big core right there.
These guys, at a really young age, are leading this team into uncharted waters, and they're only gonna improve from here, so that's an amazing thing.
Yeah.
I m- I mean, like, yeah, my notes are a bit, a bit different on that.
But to that point, by and large, yes, the proof of concept is be- we're beyond pr- proof of concept at this point.
Enough of what we saw from the first week of October through the end of May worked.
Was it perfect? Absolutely not.
But, I mean, even the team that wins the cup, it wouldn't have been perfect.
But by and large, yes, the makeup that they have, it's still very young.
And some stuff, and this is what a lot of the analysis is gonna be, like, how much of this they just need to get older? With how many of these questions you ask the team is just, well, Lane Hutson at 27 is gonna be way better than Lane Hutson at 22, which is scary.
And maybe him it's a little bit less about age and more about just, like, how many rounds of the playoffs do these guys have to play together? And they got so much of it.
But yeah, proof of concept is we're, we've passed that.
We are fully now in, like, testing phase of, like, real experience.
They passed many, many tests, so it was great.
