Have You Seen My Son? Missing in Gaza

Firstly, the, the crisis of the missing, like, it means to me personal because I have, uh, I have relatives who have been missing since December 2023, and until now, no one knows anything about him.

So after when I left Gaza, Mohammed, Mohammed Shorofa was still stick in my mind, stuck in my mind to, to focus or to know about him, at least to, to tell his wife, Hala, Hala Jaradat, what ha- what has, what, what is the, what is the fate of her husband.

At that point, I start, like, to dig in more with the missing with Palestine Reporting Lab.

So the first, the, the first, the, the first thing that stuck my mind that there is no single institution in general in Gaza or in Palestine or in the world are working about the crisis of the, of the missing in Gaza.

I, I spoke to several organization that's supposed to focus on the missing in general in the world, and one institution told me that the missing in Gaza now, it is a political crisis, and so we cannot work in the, in the file of the missing in Gaza.

So, like, it, it is not a political crisis, like, it's a humanitarian crisis.

So when we talk about the missing and why 'til now, almost after three years of the ongoing genocide, there is no database about the missing and there is, uh, not even, like, one complete report about the missing.
