When I first started Third Chances, I had no idea where it would lead me. I only knew I wanted to have real conversations with people who had lived through something, learned from it, and found a way…
When patients come in, typically we, the first step is always run an EEG right now.
And that's, it used to be, I would sit down, I would take a complete emotional state and figure out what are like their basic health needs that are not being made.
What are the causations? What is physical causation? What's physiological causation? What's psychological causation? And weave the map intellectually.
But these days is the first step is, do the QEG blind without me knowing anything about the person, um, sit down, have that conversation about what I can see, what, how much of it is true because, um, again, it's statistically, if I can see something and you confirm it, then it's true.
But if, if you don't confirm it and it's not there, then we don't pay attention to it.
Um, and then, and then go deeper into, um, How is your sleep? How is your nutrition? How is your movement? And what is the nature of your connections? How do you feel about yourself? How do you feel about your primary connections, mom and dad? What's those relationships like? What are your friendships? What are your work relationships? Is there a repetitive pattern of stress on any one of these four pillars? And Then I come up with a plan of action of what to do, where to go, how to treat.
And oftentimes, because it is brain related and we can see it, then we throw things that have scientific evidence behind them for improving brain function.
Because when it comes to brain, it's a beautiful organ and it protects itself.
And it's got the eyes in a way and the neck to protect the sudden movements and at least dampen it.
the the the yin of the kidneys which relates also to your brain function and your your cognitive essence and whatnot it's a seven year cycle and we know from science that yes it does take the brain about a seven year cycle for it to regenerate and replace because all cells at some point are going to die.
So Some of those interventions are things like pulse EMF, which does improve blood flow and protein synthesis, red light therapy, which improves RNA synthesis, and again, blood flow and reduces inflammation, and IV NAD, which slows down mitochondrial dysfunction that's post-concussion.
And that looks like about 50, 60% of my practice because I still get referrals for I have bloating or I am low in energy and patients come in that way.
