Episode #47: The Gifts of the Holy Spirit, What Are Spiritual Gifts Lesson 7

What are spiritual gifts? Are they extraordinary abilities reserved for a select few, or has God graciously given every believer a unique role in building His Kingdom? In Episode 47 of *They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy*, presented by **The Amenra Kingdom Institute**, we begin a brand-new series: **The Gifts of the Holy Spirit** with the foundational lesson, **What Are Spiritual Gifts, and Why Has God Given Them to the Church?** After spending six weeks discovering who the Holy Spirit is and how He works in the life of every believer, we now begin exploring one of the most important—and often misunderstood—subjects in the Christian faith. Minister Aisha Amenra lays a solid biblical foundation by answering three essential questions: What are spiritual gifts? Who distributes them? And why has God given them to His Church? Through careful teaching from Scripture, Mother explains that spiritual gifts are not natural talents, personal achievements, or signs of spiritual superiority. They are divine enablements graciously given by the Holy Spirit to accomplish God's purposes, strengthen the Body of Christ, and bring glory to Jesus Christ. Every gift is intentional. Every gift is given according to God's perfect wisdom. And every gift exists to serve others rather than elevate ourselves. With warmth and personal reflection, Mother shares how some of God's greatest work throughout her journey as a mother, teacher, and servant of Christ took place through quiet, faithful acts of obedience that often went unnoticed by others. She reminds us that Heaven measures faithfulness differently than the world measures success. In **The Gifts of the Holy Spirit**, listeners will discover that God's desire is not for believers to compete, compare, or seek recognition, but to become willing vessels through whom the Holy Spirit can strengthen His Church and advance His Kingdom. This episode will challenge every listener to reflect: Am I relying more on my natural abilities than on the Holy Spirit? Have I viewed spiritual gifts as personal achievements instead of God's grace? Am I comparing my calling with someone else's, or faithfully serving where God has placed me? And is my greatest desire to glorify Christ or to be recognized? Listen, reflect, and begin this exciting new journey into the gifts of the Holy Spirit with a biblical foundation that will prepare you for every lesson that follows. **In this episode:** * What spiritual gifts are—and how they differ from natural talents. * Why every spiritual gift is a divine enablement given by the Holy Spirit. * How the Holy Spirit sovereignly distributes gifts according to God's perfect wisdom. * Why comparison has no place in the Body of Christ. * The biblical purpose of spiritual gifts in strengthening the Church. * Why every gift exists to glorify Jesus Christ rather than the individual believer. * The importance of faithfully stewarding whatever God has entrusted to you. * A heartfelt reflection on how God often works through quiet acts of faithful obedience. * Three foundational Kingdom truths that will guide the entire Gifts of the Holy Spirit series. * A preview of the Revelation Gifts, beginning in the next episode.
