The Yarniacs Episode 377: Knitting Statistics for Love Your Stash KAL

All right, what are you wearing?

Well, back in episode 198-

Whoa

... which we recorded in August of 2019-

Wow

...

I stocked a shawl called Milky Oolong that I thought was so pretty.

It's a crescent-shaped shawl that start, starts out in garter stitch and has lace edging that is done in mohair and alternates with the smooth fingering.

Sarah, AKA Saopal1, made not one, but two of these shawls shortly after I stocked it, and one of them was this neutral, very neutral pale pink that I just thought was absolutely gorgeous.

It was more pretty than the sample on the pattern page.

I mean, it was gorgeous.

So fast-forward to the Yarniacs Retreat 2026, and Sarah brought this exact shawl to the destash table.

And yes, after a bit of stalking and hiding the shawl amongst-

[laughs]

...

the offerings, I snagged it from the destash table and claimed it for my own.

And she did that well before the 7:00 PM start time-

[laughs]

... from when you were supposed to wait so that everybody could see everything.

She even said she purloined the shawl.

I did.

I did.

So it was very funny.

So I have been wearing that.

I wore it throughout the weekend when it was a bit drafty, and I wore it a little bit at home this morning.
