Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 through 6 says, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 16, 3 states, Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts or plans shall be established.
Now, these verses are comforting, and obviously they're imminently applicable to business.
But they also assume that these plans and thoughts and understanding are built upon the basis of true religion.
When our Christianity informs our trading, it reminds us that we cannot do anything in and of ourselves.
It's all of grace and of the Lord's grace alone.
Endeavors like trading in the markets can quickly establish either a sense of dread or a sense of pride.
And this is where the factor of faith in trading comes into play.
Our faith in Christ keeps us grounded.
It grounds our ability to give him the glory for our successes, thus killing pride, and to seek his wisdom and guidance when we fail, thus protecting us from the dread and melancholy that can often come with trading.
