Why Spirituality Isn't a Solo Journey: 3 Years of the Woo Curious Podcast Three years ago, Eileen sat down in front of a microphone with her dear friend Ellie and started talking about all things…
Okay, so back to the episode.
I started this podcast, as I mentioned, with my dear friend Ellie.
She's a priestess.
She is an incredibly witchy woman and so, so skilled at what she does.
She's now doing business support, witchy woo business support for women in business.
And I was a beginner at that point.
I was still fairly new to all of the woo world, and I just wanted to have conversations about what I was learning.
I wanted to share.
I wanted to learn from Ellie as well.
And so season one was really about us kind of discovering things, sharing what we each knew, bringing our expertise.
It was a lot of the basics, right? It was talking about plant allies and crystal medicine and cyclical living.
What even is it as kind of a base, right? We talked about the witch wound, the sacred feminine.
All of those kind of foundational topics were there in that first season.
And then we weren't a full year into it, actually, when Ellie made the decision that it wasn't an aligned fit for her, for her time, for her energy.
And she came to me and shared this with me, and we decided to part ways for the episode.
We're still great friends [laughs] for the show.
And I began to host guests in order to carry on the conversations.
And since then, I've been mixing a blend of these solo episodes that I share with you with guests from all over the world.
It's been such an incredible experience to speak to women from South Africa, to the UK, to the States, to Mexico, all over the place, about their own spiritual journeys.
And hearing their stories and learning their own magic and sharing it with you has been such a privilege.
And it's really shown me something that I've known and believed for a long time, which is that we are all more alike- than different.
The echoes of the same stories of journey with spirituality and how it's shown up in people's lives has been incredible because it's like there's these threads that almost every story has.
This thread of being connected to the magic and the miracles as children, losing that connection as we grew up, and re-finding it sometime in adulthood.
[lips smack] That's one of the stories that is just so, so familiar.
Whether or not we came from a religious background or not, it's this sense of connection of the human experience.
