33: Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche in Conversation with Joanna Rotté - Halifax, August 2026

So let's move to your work in the world.

And I wanted to say in terms of the empowerments, which are very moving, and the lungs that you mentioned, also the one in the bathroom of the airport,

it's such a good

story.

I quite often get a telephone call from Zongzi Khyentse Rinpoche or Khyentse Jigme Rinpoche.

Suddenly they would give me a call in FaceTime.

And they say, oh, I'm about to teach something.

Can you give me the loong? At one point, Tsongkhapa Khyentse Rinpoche asked me to give a loong very immediately.

So I had to run to the airport bathroom.

And with the phone, I had to give a loong.

So like that.

So that's what I tried to do.

That's my life story.

Just to share with you.

But if I may, I want to tell you that I think I mentioned to you before that my son was born in Japan.

He's half Japanese.

And two years ago, he and I went back to Japan.

And we hadn't been there together.

We'd been there separately since his birth.

So at the same time, Sean was giving the Lung for the Yeshe Sogyal that Dukkha Kense Rinpoche wrote.

I was in Tokyo.

I wanted very much to receive the Lung, but it was the middle of the night.

And it was my son and my last night in Tokyo.

And we were in the same hotel room, and I went into the bathroom.

because I didn't want to wake him, but it was on the laptop.
