Lisa BakerGuest
Rosemary BrownGuestBut the important thing is, starting with a leader in the Senate, Lisa Baker, and her colleague, Senator Rosemary Brown, what they fought for and the things they thought were overreach that would affect the taxpayers, they won.
I hazard to think If the Democrats had had the majority in a unified government, if they had the House, if they had the Senate, and they have the Democratic governor who wants to be President Shapiro in the Capitol as governor, what would have happened to Pennsylvania? We would be in debt.
We, unlike the federal government, as they were well aware, by constitutional mandate, we have to pass a balanced budget in Pennsylvania.
What I see at stake, and I want your comment, Rosemary, on this race, and that's why they're spending so much money attacking you.

Well, listen, I mean, there's so much that we can add to what you just said, but it is definitely an initiative to be very strong to get that trifecta.

right through state government for the simple reasons of it's easy to get your policies in place.

And it's easy to get radical policies in place without the good old, what we all learned in third grade and fourth grade of checks and balances.

So divided government, is a good thing because it does give the checks and balances.

And there are a lot of bills that have come over from the House that we have been really strong on and saying, hey, listen, this is not something that is good for Pennsylvanians.

If you're a really good legislator, and I'm sure my colleague, Senator Baker, who I always say has such wonderful experience, that is very beneficial for us.

um you know you know what you're working with on both sides of the both chambers and if you're a really good legislator you're working with that chamber before you send it over if you want to get policy that really makes sense and that is good for the people of pennsylvania has the checks and balances you're doing that right now we don't have that we have bills just coming over with just straight this is what we want and if the senate wasn't there that would be okay and it would go right to the governor and get signed into law.
