Ep.19 - The Vet Nurse Gap Year (feat. Tawny Kershaw)

And, and, I guess something that then followed on from that is you have further expanded what you're doing and started sharing your knowledge with the wider community.

So you've got this massive following through the veterinary nerd.

How did that come about?

Yeah.

Well, so again, when I was locuming, it was meeting nurses with different backgrounds, different experiences, and they would be teaching me things or I would do something a particular way.

And they're like, oh my God, I've never seen it done that way.

That's so much easier.

And just bouncing off each other.

And I would meet student nurses like from across the country, from different backgrounds, whether they were diploma, whether they were degree, whether they were at one college or another.

And it just it really dawned on me that wouldn't it be really nice if I could share everything I'd learned with the people that I've met on my low coming journey.

And if anybody has enough time and wants to scroll all the way back into the embarrassing depths of the Veterinary Nerds posts, right at the very beginning, I think it's my third or maybe my fifth post.

But I got really excited because I had 100 people following me.

And I was like, oh, my God, 100 people.

And this definitely included my dad and my sister.

Yeah.

I

remember that

feeling,

though.

It's an amazing feeling.

And it's also

something that we shouldn't take for granted because I follow Gary.

I don't know how to pronounce his name.

Gary V. Gary V. goes by, right? Like the American.

Is it Vaynerchuk? Somebody's going to be laughing at me trying to pronounce this.
