On the latest episode of The Tundra brought to you by Nicolet Law, John Kuhn and Matt Schneidman are discussing Tucker Kraft’s chances of being ready to play week 1 restriction-free and just how…
John KuhnHostWe still gotta deliver this good hard content for you, and where we're gonna start is from, uh, maybe a little bit of an unexpected bit of news from the end of mini camp last week.
Tucker Kraft saying that he anticipates playing week one without a snap count, which to me was a little surprising.
He had told us on locker clean-out day, John, that he anticipated starting camp on the PUP list, physically unable to perform for anyone unfamiliar with that term.
But that he anticipated kind of playing week one because it would be 10 month, 10 months post-surgery and he would be, quote-unquote, "bulletproof" by then.
But as is always the case with guys returning from these types of injuries, you start them on kind of a snap count.
Kraft said, "I don't, uh, they don't like us speaking about injuries around here, but I anticipate gett- getting enough run up in camp to play week one without a snap count." So for as much maybe hesitance as there is, not only within the fan base, but maybe inside the building as well about Micah Parsons' return to play, since it wasn't a clean ACL tear, and the fact that it happened six weeks after Kraft's, they got just as much a bit of good news with this.
Maybe it's not news to them, but Tucker Kraft, if he can go week one, full go, that's great for the Packers.

Y- y- you know, the doctors and the sports science and everything tells you nine months.

The, the real complications, the setbacks, they happen throughout the rehab process or during the surgery or, or anything like that.

And with Micah Parsons, he, he had additional stuff that needed to be done with his knee being the meniscus.

I'm not surprised by this, and honestly, I'm not surprised especially because of who Tucker Kraft is.

You remember when Micah Parsons got here to Green Bay, he was on a pitch count and exceeded that pitch count week one against the Lions just because he's that type of competitor.

Tucker Kraft, the same way, and he has been working his tail off to get back and be ready.

If he does PUP to start camp, let's say he's on PUP for two weeks through family night, that still gives him four weeks to get ready for week one, maybe even a bonus week in there, you know, if I'm factoring something correctly.

That, that, that would still give him a full month to get his rep count up in practice and get ready for a week one game at Minnesota.
