A CapMetro board member is being accused of trying to downplay the issue of rider safety at a board meeting last night, Austin District 8 Councilwoman Paige Ellis failed to secure enough signatures on a petition that would allow her to run for a third term and Texas Governor Greg Abbott is asking the state's Department of Insurance to take action to make property and casualty insurance more affordable.
