So I've been interested in software and technology since I was very small and needed to sit on my father's lap to reach the keyboard of an original IBM PC.

Learned on DOS at some point right around 15, I discovered that Unix wasn't just a thing that ran on mainframes.

And I, um, was excited about computers ever since feeling like uh this box can do anything that i could possibly imagine as long as i know how to make it do so like it's limited only by my imagination and that was i was immediately hooked and then i've been interested in rust for around the last i think 11 years or so now have been involved with that and very excited about that i got um some early information about it from the, uh, Mozilla planet, Mozilla blog aggregator when it was first being played with.

And when I first looked at it, it was like, what is this weird language with all the sigils? But they're saying interesting things about, uh, ownership and borrowing and memory.

And Hey, what if you didn't have to free this memory? And I was a C programmer going way back.
