The Something to Say Radio Show – August 22nd, 2026

Well, we have officially made it.

The good news is there is Louisiana football...

Every week until at least January.

That's pretty good, right? That's a good thing.

Saints had their first preseason game last week against the Jaguars in the Dome.

Unfortunately, the Saints didn't come out on top.

I don't know if it's anything to get upset about.

They dropped the game 24-20 after leading 20-6 at halftime.

And then kind of sputtered after that.

But there were some bright spots, and I think the Saints' defense really stepped up, even though they lost the game.

You know, you're talking about, at that point, the Jaguars' third and fourth strings better than our third and fourth strings, if that's the way you want to look at it.

Yeah.

That's just some stats.

Spencer Rattler was 8 of 11 for 42 yards.

He did take two sacks.

Zach Wilson, I thought, looked great.

11 for 16, 145 yards with a touchdown.

He did take a sack.

Hunter Deckers was there in a mop-up capacity.

8 for 15 with 69 yards, and he also took a sack.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with Spencer Rattler.

I mean, if you look at his stats, it looks pretty much like it did last year.

You know, he didn't do a whole lot.

He didn't throw any picks.

He did have a fumble.
