Shakespeare in the Country Laura Daniels x Russ Burton

Russ, we have three minutes to really knock the socks off of everyone with-

All right there, Laura

... our, our rendition.

[laughs] As we mentioned, everything's fancier with a British accent.

Everything's funnier with a Southern accent.

So since The Taming of the Shrew is coming to an end, Shakespeare in the Park, this weekend, we thought we would do some Shakespeare with a deep Southern accent.

As deep as it possibly can go.

Now, why would any two people do that? I don't know.

[laughs] I don't know the reason.

I don't know, but I do have a little bit of music to go with it.

Oh, love it.

[upbeat music]

So this is Baroque-ian music with-

Yeah

... a Southern twang.

Russ Burton does this one.

Sorry I baroque it, but I can't fix it.

[laughs] All right, Russ-

Mm

... how about you go ahead.

Which, which, um, Shakespeare piece would you be reading now?

Well, I'll start with this one right here from Hamlet.

Hamlet.

Yeah.

I love ham sandwichies.
