What would you change about your life if you were suddenly forced to confront your own mortality? In this episode of The Shaman Stories Podcast, Jeremy sits down with Dennis Henson, author…
Dennis HensonGuestJeremy ChimbertHostSo when you were going through all that, Western medicine didn't have any Input on what you should do with yourself? Did they give you any guidelines? I'm not saying they were great, but you know.

Well, they gave me a diet and they gave me some pills, which is their answer to pretty much everything, I think.

And I looked at the diet and looked at my wife and I said, Norma, if this is what I'm going to have to eat for the rest of my life, I'm not sure it's worth trying to live.

So I threw the pills away and I told my wife, we need to find other alternatives.

I wanted a medical doctor who was also holistic, who had knowledge in both areas.

The only problem was she worked with stroke victims, but she was only in the Dallas-Fort Worth area four times a year.

The next day we were in front of her and she did all the exams, the same ones that the hospital did.

But if you will do what I suggest, if you will just take my advice and do exactly what I say, you'll probably be okay.

So I had blockage in my arteries, in my crotty arteries, and I had hardening of the arteries.

And she said, you're in such bad shape, if you turn your head wrong, you're probably going to have another stroke.
