language come on guys i need my summary so i'll just do a short short thing um i mean ultimately this is a cinderella story that's what's happening here so abel is an incredibly famous uh film actor um and marion is someone who's uh sort of bouncing around from job to job she's um she's a waitress we find out later that actually she had opened a restaurant with her best friend and her husband and classic the husband and the best friend got together and sort of kicked her out and are trying to take away her restaurant and so she doesn't have any work so she's feeling very like disconnected from life but that's good to know because it's you know she has like ambitions and things she's just you know not in a great place right now um abel is also not in a great place right now he's you know he's drinking too much he's Maybe taking too many sort of like pills to even out his mood because he's just feeling like he's not appreciated as a proper actor.

And what he doesn't know or admit to himself is also that he probably wants a more meaningful relationship.

He has been dumped.

or not dumped he find he found out from like a social media alert that his famous actor girlfriend was cheating on him so that was a blow so he's sort of feeling that as well so they're both feeling very rejected by their by their ex-partners and feeling not so great in their in their work lives as well so that's sort of where they are when they meet so when they meet and I will say it wasn't 100 percent clear to me that Marion actually knew who he was when she was serving

him.

And they did sort of say, like, you know who he is.

And she's sort of like, well, so.

But I couldn't tell if that was just because, like, you know who he is because he's a customer or because he's, you know, like.

So anyway, but it did become clear that actually she does know who he is, which then I found it very impressive that she I mean, she she did not care at all.

She was just sort of

like, you want a coffee? I mean, OK, fine.

Here's your, you know, like, whatever.

So anyway, they have this, like, moment of misunderstanding.

And he's sort of like, why are you filming? She's like, I'm not filming you.

And then I was just checking my phone.

And then her boss comes over and fires her.

And he's like, well, that was an overreaction.

So he offers to give her a ride home.

He gives her a ride home.

And like, finagles his way up to her her apartment which was a bit like i was like okay anyway they have a kiss i say that he just leans over and kiss her kisses her and then she's like he's like oh are you wait are you not into it and she's like i mean no i am of course Anyway, her ex-husband comes over and bangs on the door and is yelling at her about not paying the rent on the flat that she's currently in.

Because it's in his name.

But he's threatening to evict her.

He's being quite mean.

So Abel comes out and pretends like they're lovers and yells at the ex and tells him not to treat women like that and to fuck off, which is delightful.

Anyway, they part.
