Seven Years Bad Luck

Let's start with Black Excellence.

First of all, it was 96 degrees here yesterday.

Yuck, actually.

[laughs] No, thank you.

I felt like that was racist, but anyways.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Um, Black Excellence this week is gonna actually go to a submission that I got, um, from Adjoa.

I hope I'm saying your name right, ma'am.

It says, "Hi, Kaffir and Crystal," then a nice little blurb about how much they love us.

And then it says, "Today I'm reaching out to you for the very first time to pitch Black Derby Collective for a Black Excellence shout-out.

Black Derby Collective, BDC, is the first and only all-Black competitive roller derby team out of the 400 plus teams in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.

The team was just formed in September 2025, and we've already won the gold medal at regional playoffs, which means we're headed to the WFTDA World Championships in Sweden in October in our debut season." The girly said, "What we do-

Yeah

... is win.

What we are is best, and it really doesn't even make sense for you niggas that we would get to the function just now and clear y'all.

It doesn't make sense to you, but, you know, that's your plight and your struggle-

Mm.

Mm-hmm

... your white plight." [laughs]

Okay.

Um-

Let me get back to-

I had to look it up

Okay
