I'm 33 and a newly licensed marriage and family therapist.

I work at a psych facility for children as a full-time therapist focusing on family work.

There's the podcast, The Read.

What I love about what the hosts Kid Fury and Crystal do is that every episode, right, they end the episode with a read.

And what they're so good at doing, and this is why I think their show has been so successful for so long, is that when they are reading things, whether they be political, whether they be cultural, whether they be a lived experience that they're having, is that they're always punching up and exposing the audience, the audience that they have through their popularity to power dynamics that are at play.

And that to me is what makes a read a real read, right? You can read somebody, let's say, but like it's you're managing someone and you read somebody who works for you.
