as you said we touched on it last week it occurs to me that it's quite an interesting topic and so there's been plenty of comments and stuff on the photography podcast I mispronounced that.

And also the Nick Church Photography Collective group as well.

So we've had some good input on that.

So the first thing I was interested in was how... prominent is it that people use that because they use these grey market importers so these are goods that are destined for the far east markets typically hong kong and the importers then sell it back to the uk and it's much cheaper and it was fascinating that in both those facebook groups we had exactly the same breakdown although there are quite quite a few the same people but i don't think the same people voted in both polls That 61% are only looking at grey markets and 38% are a mixture of grey market and UK suppliers.

So in your academy group, you probably don't know, but can you estimate the mix between professional and theatre photographers? Would it be concert?

Yeah, I haven't done the, that would be a really interesting exercise.

I should do a poll on the Nick Church Creative Academy community as well.

And I'll report back on that because I think the results will be different.

goes to show that certainly in that professional or enthusiast level, a lot of people are going to green market.

My hunch would be, if I was to do the same question on the Nick Church Creative Academy, that a load of members there, because I've got, there's sort of two and a half, 3,000 members there, so I could do a poll and see if I can get some good feedback.

But I bet there's, I wouldn't be able to say UK specific, because it's worldwide, but I imagine people are much less likely.
