So you've obviously had such a journey with PE, working in a different system, a different state.

Someone was saying to me, I can't remember what day, but, "Oh, why don't we just have like an Australian curriculum? Everyone teaches the same stuff." I'm like, "Well, there is one."

Um, and I-- Like, that podcast was a little while ago now, but we'll put the show links underneath for that podcast episode.

I just spent a whole day, like it w- felt like I was going back in time and found some articles, found some researchers, realized that there was, you know, no syllabus for such a long time in New South Wales for-

And I was just, I was just shocked, and I had that gut feeling that people didn't really care about primary PDHPE in New South Wales.

Yeah, well, a-and I, I, I have to agree with you because I, I also didn't know much.

And even talking to an ex-colleague of mine that had been teaching in the industry in Victoria for 40 years, like he'd been teaching and he's still teaching now, and he's fit as a fiddle, so he has no worries there.

But, like, just to ask him, because there's obviously gaps in my understanding, too.

I remember when I was at primary school in Victoria, we had a PE teacher who was also our geography teacher, and I'm pretty sure it would've been a generalist teacher.

In fact, years later, when I was in charge of my school, he ended up becoming the guy that painted the lines at my school.
