uh so just to finish up what um change do you think we're going to see in the charity sector over the next couple of years what are you what are your predictions

yeah i think i mean probably lots of changes i think one that i want to see and i think has to happen is that as third sector People, I think we need to take care of ourselves better.

SCVO, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, released some research about, I think, a third of leaders in the charity sector are thinking about leaving in the next 12 months.

I've never in my lifetime in my career seen as serious a risk to the sector as this.

And of course I would say this because of my coach and I, you know, in particular help people work on the sort of inner game of, of, you know, resilience and wellbeing at work.

But I think, I think as a sector, we need to get better at putting our own, our own mask on first, you know, looking after ourselves.

I sometimes say to clients that what I see a lot are It's like the Formula One driver who doesn't go into the pit stop because she wants to finish the race.

And it's just that sort of acknowledgement that the self-sacrifice that is innate within our sector helps us go out and do amazing things and save lives, but it can also lead us to neglecting ourselves.

And I think, yeah, I would love to see in the next couple of years the sector taking it much more seriously, the need for us to look after our people and to be more resilient and bound read and to know that that's actually an important part of successful organisations that achieve their outcomes.
