On this episode of the Open Africa podcast, we will be talking about industry just as usual, but then we also have a special guest with us today.
We have Tomiwa Aladikomo, the CEO of Big Tabal Media.
He will be contributing to the conversation, but also we have a special section where we're just asking questions about the upcoming Moonshots event in Lagos.
Alrighty, so without wasting time, let's jump right into it.
So jumping right into it.
I think there was a valid point around distribution that we can just quickly touch on and then quickly move on to other things that have happened since our last recording.
I think we've all observed that it's probably the best distribution you've ever seen with any Yes, public offer in Nigeria, because personally, I have opened any financial services app I've opened since they went live, has had like a banner or something indicating you can get into the Danglute offer here.
Like, never seen that happen before, but happy to hear anybody else's take.
um i mean we've never we've never seen it happen before for an ipo because not so many people ipo but we've seen the entire country bend down from dango to before if you remember very very vividly um does that period where there was a fx crunch and cbi needs to like pump like 50 100k into the market I remember Mithile specifically outlining Dangote as priority.
So if he allocated maybe 150, he's like, okay, 70% should go to Dangote for its refinery and 30% for the rest of your traders.
I guess, many months ago, everyone were at Stanbeck.
So, I'm not surprised by when it comes time to...
To be fair, Redeem had their
own server too, so it was a scale
thing.
Wait, Redeem had their server because almost all our indies were pastors.
That is very different.
No, it's a volume.
It's
not just because they were pastors.
