Co-hosts Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman unpack the real reason Hakeem Jeffries sat down with Jared Kushner, and it has nothing to do with subpoenas or tough talk. The meeting is a preview of…
I got out of the woods and I was like, I got to figure out what the hell is going on.
I just thought while I was gone for a week that nothing would have happened.
I didn't expect that the president would have a strange cultish devotee who was following him around and that was going to be the public discourse for a week.

Love it when Jared Kushner shows up, you know, probably everyone's second favorite Jared on this show for a, quote, broad conversation on a range of topics and what some people have called a, quote, catch up, which including areas in which the Democratic Party, if they are to win in the midterms, if they're free and fair, that they would find some common cause with the Trump administration, including on housing, immigration and cost of living.
But before we get to that, Nick, what are your initial thoughts on hearing that Hakeem Jeffries is hanging out with Jared Kushner? We love it.
He should be like, hey, bro, Just so you know, wear that suit that you like to wear with the red tie.
