An overstimulated nervous system is my chronic problem, and the problem of many of us in our current society with its 24/7 connectivity and therefore constant demands and stimulation. And that's just…

So what I can say though about the doshas is they're basically the elements that are showing up in our body and the vata is air and ether.

And in terms of the treatment program that you're given, even before you come for Panchakarma, You're often given an herb protocol as well as a vata lifestyle calming protocol.

Because oftentimes, no matter what your dosha imbalance is, the majority of us have a vata type of imbalance.

And that has to do with our lifestyle, which is overstimulation, too much of this, too much of that.

And, you know, many of the things that I'm saying, I mean, most of us are challenged with that, you know, over time, but especially people over 50, because that there are different stages in our lives as we're well aware of.

If you think about it, stage of life, there's this incredible blooming that happens with them through up to about age 19, 20.

And that is where we're out going, we're fiery, we're into the world, we're kind of, you know, doing all those things, creating.

And then after 50, even though it's still happening, there's a shift that happens to the body and also to the mind.

And you're more inclined to be more vata-like, which means a little bit more scattered, a little bit more challenged with sleep.

Your body, as you may notice, once you're over 50, starts drying out some, whether it's in your joints, in our skin, all those things.

So the vata challenges of people that are at, as they age, is another way where Vata lifestyle management and PK can be really, really supportive to help reduce the challenges of what we see as normal aging now and helps to allow our body to come back to some level of the ability to rejuvenate like it was, you know, in the 20s and 30s as we all were feeling older.

Like we could conquer the world at that time and now life comes along and, you know, there's a diminishing level of energy that we have as time goes on.

And what Panchakarma allows for is this cleanse and a reset so that it gives your body then a chance to actually have the experience of doing daily lifestyle changes and seeing their benefits much more immediate and much more effective.

So the lifestyle changes that I speak about in my book, for example, is having to make right choices, life-affirming choices that are best for your body type so that you then sustain the changes after Panchakarma.

But even before Panchakarma, it makes the Panchakarma experience much more easier.
