Michigan State Head Men's Basketball Coach Tom Izzo Updates Team Following Most-Recent Practice

Oh, the exhibition game, and I think what it did for us is we realized some things we got to get better at.

Now we have some time before the next two big ones.

So it really has worked out good for us.

I'm happy I did it.

You bring up the intersquad scrimmage, like this is probably the ideal team for that sort of what you get out of it type of-

It is if we got, if we got everybody-

Oh, yeah

... semi-healthy, you know.

Um, it is, 'cause they can go against each other.

We've been rotating people at center, at guards, um, trying to give everybody a chance and, uh ...

But our mainstays have been pretty good.

Jeremy's been really good.

Cohen's been really good and, and, uh, Jordan has been really, really good.

And our freshmen have been good.

They're just, they're just sustaining stuff and things like that.

It's not easy.

But especially when you got pretty good veterans that are three and four-year guys, because they know everything going on and so we're making some progress.

You bring up Jordan.

He seems like a guy who's just from a vocal standpoint, too, just sort of, I don't know, maybe he looks like a-

He's grown a lot.

Yeah, yeah.

You know, with his size, with his strength, with his game and with his vocal, he's, he's grown a lot.

He's probably playing defensively now as good as anybody, and yet I'm really excited because C.J.'s gonna be able to push the ball and get after people.

I think, uh, Josiah's gonna be able to really get after people and shoot it.

And so, um, yeah, we, we got depth.
