[gentle music] Welcome to the Menopause and Cancer podcast, where we speak with cancer patients, survivors, and incredible experts in their fields to help me find solutions to our symptoms and ideas to improve our health.

I'm your host, Dani Binnington, and I have got goosebumps recording this introduction for you because I've just come off a workshop with some of the most incredible people in our community, and they have allowed me to share this conversation with you all out there, hundreds and thousands of people across the world listening to my, the Menopause and Cancer podcast.

A while ago, I went into the Facebook group and I said, "I wanna answer your questions on the podcast." And I had a lot of questions around identity, the changes in our physical, emotional appearance, loss and grief, not being able to function anymore like we used to function.

And I thought, "I'd like to answer this," but before I thought, "I need to just hop on a workshop and learn from others and hear what their experiences are so that I can feed back to you." But as I was on this workshop, and it was so amazing, I asked them all whether I can share the conversation and they said yes.

We talk about physical identity and emotional identity, loss, grief, work, relationships, and sitting in that messy middle of not being who we used to were and definitely not being there yet, of not having created this new identity yet.

We're just here to listen and validate, and I am feeling immensely privileged that I can share this conversation with you all today.
