Laundromat Promotions That Drive Traffic with Cat Chalpin

How do you get customers through the door when you’ve just opened or taken over a laundromat? In this episode of The Laundromat Millionaire Show, Dave and Carla Menz sit down with Cat Chalpin, owner of Pop In Laundry in New York, to talk about her journey into the laundromat industry, acquiring and renovating her first store, building a memorable laundromat brand, and finding creative ways to attract new customers. Cat shares how she balanced a laundromat renovation while working a full-time job, the lessons she learned as a first-time laundromat owner, and the marketing strategies she’s using to grow the business. A major focus of the conversation is laundromat marketing and promotions. Cat discusses creative ways to increase traffic during traditionally slow days and times, including Free Laundry Day promotions and even partnering with other businesses to help sponsor community laundry events. They also discuss the growth opportunities Cat sees in wash-dry-fold (WDF) and laundry pickup and delivery, the importance of creating a strong brand, working with the right laundromat equipment distributor, and using your laundromat to make a positive impact in the local community. If you’re thinking about buying your first laundromat, recently opened a store, or are looking for new ideas to increase laundromat customers and sales, this episode is packed with practical ideas you can put to work in your business.
