And in between our main episodes, our interview conversations with cool people about their favorite movies, we've been re-releasing some old and different podcasts that I've appeared on.

And this is an episode from the Total Reboot feed, the podcast that I hosted for a very long time with Cameron James.

It is an episode discussing the films of Steven Spielberg.

And we're trying to do it in a fun, different way where we assigned which film one would watch from the filmography of Steven Spielberg on a given American holiday.

Because he's America's filmmaker, of course.

And this is inspired to be released because I just saw Disclosure Day very recently.

I quite enjoyed it.

It's a film that sat with me quite well.

It's interesting.

It's an odd film.

It's a bit shaggy.

It's a bit daggy.

But it has this sincere heart in it.

And I think that's the thing that's most compelling about Spielberg.

It is his sincerity and his sense of wonder.

And someone who is so in touch with his childhood self.

And able to really effectively communicate that to an audience in quite stunning ways.

And I think Disclosure Day is a really interesting version of that.

So it's worth your time if you're a Spielberg person.

But I want to re-release this because people have been messaging me.

what holiday i think disclosure day would be a good uh representation of spielberg for and i actually might say it's a new holiday mate disclosure day itself one day the aliens will be revealed to us and you're telling me we're not going to get a day off on that date the next year and the year afterwards and the year after that for decades and decades to come A day where humans and aliens get together to commemorate the time that aliens were disclosed to us humans.

So yeah, Disclosure Day is the day that I think Disclosure Day would be best viewed on.

The other thing I'd say about it, it's like about Disclosure Day, it's this real expression of empathy that I think is interesting.

It's Spielberg exploring empathy in a very literal and direct way.

And he does so in collaboration with a career best performance from Emily Blunt.

And that is worth the prize of admission alone, I'd say, to see that incredible performance from Emily Blunt.
