THE LIFE OF FAITH: The Lens Of Faith - Justin & Bevan

If we don't have a lens to look through, then we probably have to ask ourselves this question of, What are we seeing with? What lens are we actually looking through to live this life in? And we want to talk about this lens of faith and how we actually see things from the Father's perspective.

And just in preparing some of these thoughts and this combo that I'm going to have with Bevan, I really felt the Lord just gave me this, just a basic picture of, like, there's two storylines going on in any person's life at any given time.

There's our normal life story, and then there's actually the story of God that is always there, ready for us to grab hold of in faith and attach ourselves to his plans and purposes because we know that – his story or history is this wide scope of like God's plan from creation all the way through into eternity.

And with this tiny little segment, you know, of our life, however long we live, and the Lord is asking us to like look up, have a lens of faith where we're actually seeing what he wants to have, you know, in store for us in our lives.

And then our faith is almost like this thing that grabs hold of, that moment.

And it's a continual thing, isn't it? It's like, man, I've just got to keep having faith.

But I'm attaching myself to the faithfulness of God.

I'm not attaching myself to my own faith.

Faith is not me, you know, going to the gym and like, oh, I've just got to have faith.

And, you know, if my faith is in my faith, it's going to end up Pretty dismal.

But my faith is in the Lord.

My faith is in the eternal plan of God.

And so this is where our convo is kicking off today.
