The first song I picked is What's My Age Again? by Blink-182, which was a song that I heard as a 13-year-old.

I think I must've been 13, maybe even, no, maybe f- 13, 14, something like that.

You know, I had been developing an interest in music, but that was a huge, that was such a moment.

I, I have such a memory of hearing that song, seeing the music video for the first time with them [laughs] running naked down the street, and just having this thought of, like, "I think I can do that." Like, not run naked down the street, but [laughs] play, play an instrument in a fun ba- like, be in a fun band and do something fun like that.

And, and honestly, that's the, the best thing about, like, punk music and pop punk music and all that kind of stuff is I really think that it showed, especially now in hindsight, you know, I, I, um, I graduated high school in 2004.

So my, like, school years were, like, from, you know, 1999 to 2004 basically was high school.

And now in hindsight, that was such an amazing time for guitar-driven pop rock music, including Teenage Dirtbag [laughs] with Kate falls right in that window as well.

But that was really the first one where, I mean, I heard that song, and I bought the record and loved the whole thing.

And really when I decided I wanted to play bass, I bought one, and that was the album.

I sat at home, and I just, like, learned how to play along to all of those songs.

And that was, like, my, my very, very first intro in, like, what is it to play this instrument.

Like, what does it mean to play the bass? It's a very simple song, so What's My Age Again? I was actually able to play pretty quickly, but doesn't matter.
Is a, yeah, really, really good song.
Really good first song choice for-
Oh, so good.
Yeah.
Have you met the, have you met them?
