So when you were at Blended, like originally you're talking, you know, you're grafting, you're working hard, laboring, minimal sleep.

Were you putting the same sort of effort into Blended, like recruitment, or were you just working-

Yeah, one of my biggest regrets is I probably didn't see Sage grow up until she was two.

You, you don't go to parties, you don't do this, you don't do this, you don't go to gym, like you just gotta work." And I was just like, "Fuck, is this...

Like I'm not getting any enjoyment out of this." I'd run a small business networking group every, every Thursday night or Tuesday night and yeah, I think I, I think I just took, took his advice on board way too much.

Um, so the first two years was, was really tough and I probably didn't get any enjoyment out of the business, um, because of that.

So common a- a- amongst founders because on one side of the equation you hear about like the hustle culture and working hard and punching through and working harder than everyone else.

And then more recently there's a balance of like, well, actually you've got to look after yourself and wellness and work-life balance.

Um, I, I think it's a, a constant juggle, right? And you know, we, we're young parents, right? There's plenty of young parents who are, who are founders.

But I'm a parent to young kids, right? Who, who, who's a founder and you have that constant balance around the guilt piece too, right? Like, I'm not there for my kids as much as I wanna be, but equally I'm trying to build a better life for my kids and have more flex around different areas.

Like looking back then, do you think you had to push as hard or, or you should have pushed as hard or do you think there is a way to find a balance? Or do you, do you think, do you think it does take 125% sacrifice from day one?
