Cam PellegrinoGuestAnd just in general, Cam, what, what are your impressions about this team versus last year's team?

We saw last year's team, every single play seemed to have some sort of mistake.

Even when they get backed up, they've had problems with penalties this year, no doubt about that, but when they get backed up, they're still overcoming those things, and we never saw teams of the past overcome anything the way this team has in the first three games.

Because Joe Harsimiak, he comes in after one year, coming into his second year, brings in a Springfield guy in Pop Watson, Joseph Griffin Jr.

So Joe Harsimiak, Pop Watson III, Joseph Griffin Jr. coming together, more of just Pop and Joe coming together, and you can see what's come out of that.

Last year, like Cam was saying, it was, it seemed to be a mistake every single time, but it also seemed to be, like, a memeable moment every single time, whether it was fireworks in that NIU game, whether it was Brennan Bailey getting sent off in that game, that action game against Akron where Coach Harsimiak sent him off.

Those were the things where we were like, "Are, are, are we serious?" Like, and then Joe Harsimiak saying in the press conference that he was playing scout team corner.
Pop Watson obviously the face of the program, and I think that play last week on the reverse with him blocking, that's gonna be his defining play of the season most likely.
Just because it just, like, personifies, like, his leadership skills, right? He's literally leading the way.
Like I said, he's the identity, he's the face of the program, which is what we expected him to be, um, knowing him for such a long time.
I was talking to somebody connected to the UMass program a couple weeks ago, and they said, "Can you believe one kid from Springfield could do all this?" And I, I know I said, "You know, it's not just Pop, right? We're huge Pop guys, but, like, it's not just Pop." He doesn't do everything, he's not able to do everything without being protected, right? For me, I think that's the big difference from this year to last year.
