Send us Fan Mail OK Guys, it's time for another episode of the fix podcast! In today's episode we discuss the Mark Schiefele trade rumour! And also…
Gary, four days ago we were on air, we were talking about Max Schlafly.
You brought him up and you said that he'd be just a wicked fit for the Habs.
And now all of a sudden, we got Kipper.
I don't know if he's watching.
He's definitely watching.
The Canadians are amongst the teams asking about Sheffley after failing on Larkin.
And they think he's the guy for a good one-two punch.
Just like that, we're on the map.
we're breaking stories here you know before they're even stories to break but I mean when you think about it just makes it makes good sense
from well from Montreal's perspective for sure but if you're the Winnipeg Jets or if you're Mark Shifley you know you signed that contract uh with a with a good Winnipeg Jet team but one of the best goaltenders in the world uh you know they signed identical deals at the time and it was you know let's go get a championship together And now, you know, the guy you're riding shotgun with, he's jumping out.
He's jumping out the passenger side door and you're all by your lonesome.
So, I mean, it just made sense to me.
If Hellebuck is going, that should be the next domino to fall.
Now, it kind of freaked me out when you brought it up because, obviously, There's a bit of history with this player in Montreal.
Everybody knows about the Jake Evans incident, right? And right away, I was talking about...
I might have to retract that statement.
But, man, just a tad, right? Because now the thoughts of bringing this guy in is actually starting to get real.
And to be honest with you, I mean, when you look at the numbers, he's 33 years old, but last season he put up 103 points.
His last two years were his best season statistically.
Yeah.
At 33 years old.
