They were killing one of the biggest draws to me to retics, which is pattern, right? Reticulated patterns are unbelievable.
And when you start stacking all these different genes on top of each other, especially when you get to albinos, basically you're just ending up with these yellowish, plain, no pattern snakes.
Why are we doing this? Like, why are we taking one of the most fundamental aspects of this species and breeding it out? I don't want to do that.
Now, that is not to say that I do not believe that insular dwarfism exists in reticulated pythons.
I had no idea what was gonna happen with my life, especially once I got indicted and the cases were in motion.
I was fighting the state case, I was fighting a federal case, and I had no idea what was gonna go on.
