The Science of Endurance is back and better than ever! New weekly series following my Journey to London Marathon 2027, where I'll be using my own training to talk about the science behind training…
The Endurance Science Podcast is back, and in the words of the great man himself, Gary Barlow, it's back for good.
Now, this podcast went away for a long time, and truthfully, I just didn't have time to keep up with it.
I had a PhD viva to prepare for, I had a full-time job, a two-year-old child, and life was just too much for a time-consuming podcast on the side.
I've still got a job, I've got a PhD, And I'll be running the London Marathon in 2027.
This podcast will continue to talk about the science of endurance, but it's going to take on a bit of a change.
That change is that now I've got my own training to use as a marker or a guide or a starting point to talk about science.
When I started running again, why I started running and what my plan is leading up to the London Marathon.
From today I'll be putting out a new episode every Monday morning here on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts to talk about my training but more importantly the scientific principles underpinning my training.
So that means I'll be talking about all the things that I love to talk about and like you've probably heard me talk about a million times before.
Nutrition, supplements, training principles, training science, super shoes and running shoes.
My god that is one hell of a rabbit hole to go down and I am deep in it right now.
But it's all about the science of endurance, which is fundamentally what I love to do, what I love to talk about, and what this podcast was always designed to do.
And so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to start up this podcast again, talk about the science of endurance, but do it through the lens of my own training.
