The Echo Chamber - Episode 100 "Buying His Way to the Top" @BoilerPaulie is back with Fitzzzy ths week to celebrate 100 episodes of The…
That could be, I mean, then you could say that maybe.
It sounds like that is the case where I'm not nearly as bearish as other folks, but I wouldn't say I'm bullish on the shelf offering.
You know what would have made me bullish on the shelf offering? If that shit was for a billion dollars, then I'd be like sick.
You know what I mean? Like I said, I've said this on many, many past streams.
If you were serious about transforming into this mega cap e-commerce gaming giant, you're going to need a shit ton of cash.
Get ready for it.
And you're not gonna be paying out dividends.
You're not gonna be doing buybacks.
You're gonna be reinventing the business and that's gonna take a shit ton of cash.
And it's conceivable that if this shit had been for 500 million or a billion, something crazy, something absurd, it would still sell off on it.
But I think now people are gonna be like, holy shit, they are serious about this.
And then...
In my eyes, like if it were 300 million to 500 million, it's the same optics cost.
The market was gonna sell off.
The market was not gonna like and not the money offering altogether.
So what difference does it make 100 million, 300 million, 500 million? Just do it.
And then you might get people talking about, well, why are they doing so much? People's immediate reaction would be they need it.
They're going to be burning cash and they're screwed.
That would be the initial reaction.
I feel confident about that.
But there would be a later reaction, especially if Cohen got involved, like, holy shit, they're going to have a shit ton more cash to execute on this turnaround strategy.
And so anyway, but anyway, I'm more neutral on it for this stuff.
But yeah, I'm definitely not as bearish as folks.
So I would agree with you on that front, Chris.
Yeah.
