Magikarp

This one had the topper on there.

And all but three of the Magikarp letters were lit.

And so I was like, well, I'm going to play this game with the Magikarp topper.

And it's fine as far as toppers go.

I love the concept of the big mouth Billy Bass up there, but it's a Magikarp.

So what happens is when you catch a Pokemon, you get a Magikarp letter.

And when you fill up all the Magikarp letters, there's a special Magikarp mode.

that you get to play if you got the topper so i sat there i played a couple games i filled up all the letters i got to play the special mode you know it's fine it's cute it's neat that it's an extra thing i like that it's progressive so it's like if you have this at home you know eventually you'll just get to play it every you know 10 plays or something that's kind of cool that's kind of cool the mandalorian topper did something similar with the the best scar that you would uh you know collect as you go um so yeah it was fun and you know what i had a great time playing pokemon like i remember the shots from when i had the game it was still fun to play the squirtle mode it's still fun to play the charmander mode i can't wait till this game gets its robust 1.0 code um and i think it's really going to come alive and come into its own uh what a wild emotional ride it was though securing a pokemon le and then you know i got one it was damaged and shipping i got it replaced and then i got an offer for it the same time like sonic was coming out it's just all the emotions man and so i don't want to rush back into a pinball machine again like that so i I'm glad.

Yeah.

Yeah, there's nothing too, again, like the full art style cards or like the bigger chase cards, again, when you have your Charizard, your Umbreon, your Rayquaza's, Mew's, Pikachu's, Magikarp, and then your Reshiram and Zekrom, the original black and white cards, which the BWRs were, you know, paying homage to there.

But yeah, like even if you look at Blastoise, the Blastoise reprint, 15 bucks, Venusaurus, 10 bucks.

Like, again, if you believe in, this set or you believe in pokemon as a super long term like picking up the base set trio at this price point is probably a good pickup i mean 10 bucks cheap like okay cool you know but like i don't know i don't know like i don't think like i i luckily i master set this when i came back into pokemon um but yeah that's really it it's nothing too crazy to to even discussed yeah what is what's on the other page what's on the last page the clay doll

you've butchered a Magikarp,

which is a pretty

pathetic little fish.

And unfortunately, that is the snapper or that is the base of everyone in Pokemon World's diet is built around eating Magikarp.

But he had a stall and the cards that I picked up from him were just two for my own PC.

So I picked up the Magikarp from Paldea Revolve, the beautiful SIR.

In Japanese, so that's one thing.

But for the Pokedex 151 binder, if you listened to us talk last week, that's the goal is to just collect these beautiful artworks.

well my mom is like a saint anyway um she's like a little bookworm but um i remember just like feeling like like pokemon was like so nerdy and like that i was kind of like alone and like really enjoying it and then pokemon go came along and all of like the cool people in school were like were like oh my God, like, do you want to go down to like the dock? Like there's going to be like 40 people playing Pokemon Go there.

Like we can all catch a Magikarp.

So uniting.

Like it was such a beautiful time to be alive.

I just like it didn't work in South Korea either.

Like South Korea for that Magikarp card was go around and get like six physical stamps on a stamp sheet.

And then what happened is people were running between it to get the stamps to then cash in for the Magikarp.

So that didn't like work either.

It's not American

Team Rocket is here.

They've washed up on the rocky beach and they abandoned ship because they think that the Magikarp sub is going to explode.

But it doesn't.

It just gets washed back out to sea and then sinks.
