All hope is not lost. Cowboys bounce back with a 37-20 win. The defense was less of a disaster.

After they got off to a rough start, we're down 10-0 and down 17-3, and they fought back.

And Jaden Daniels, much like Dart the week before from the Giants, was kind of ripping them up on the ground and scrambles.

They just had no chance.

Not really.

It was a

quarter-night run, so he scrambles and falls.

The success of those two quarterbacks before Gene Daniels got hurt has to be disconcerting to the Cowboys' defensive staff, knowing they're going to Brazil to play the best running quarterback in the history of the game, Lamar Jackson.

Plus, you've got to defend Derrick Henry, the most physical running half of all.

And we saw how they matched up against a very physical team last week.

They handled a team like Washington much better.

It's more speed, finesse, spread you out.

They handled that situation, I think, defensively much better than they do a team like the Giants that – just has a 300-pound fullback and a Cam Scadaboo who's not afraid to get his nose bloodied, and it's just going to keep coming at you.

But anyway, that's the challenge for next week.

I thought, you know, there's a lot of pressure on Christian Parker and the defense to improve their play.

I would say they did so modestly in this game.

They did create a turnover, a takeaway, a short field, and the Cowboys turned that

possession of the 13-yard line into a

quick touchdown.

So that's a significant development that they were able to take the football away.

Again, a fumble.

They still don't have an interception this year.

All of a sudden, they're jets.

They can't get an interception.

They can't get a sack.

They had a lot of pressures.
