The Daily Rios 10.21.26: Wonder Woman Wednesday

This should be a New Comics Wednesday, but as you may know, today, October 21st, marks the 85th anniversary of Wonder Woman.

everybody is celebrating today for her 85th anniversary and dc today released that they are going to celebrate by announcing uh the year of wonder which is going to be a celebration of Wonder Woman throughout the next year, starting with the news that the current Tom King run, as far as the numbering, it will continue.

And it's going to continue with Louise Simonson writing a four-issue story with Sian Torme.

And then that will be followed up by a six-issue story by Stephanie Williams and Alana Casagrande.

So the current Tom King Wonder Woman run, which his run ends with issue 40, it will continue with issue 41. course with this announcements uh comes uh you know like uh variant covers and dc site saying you know that obviously they're gonna celebrate in other ways as well we just don't know what that is i'm assuming you know be great to get some i don't know mini series or is somebody working on an original graphic novel that would be cool too possibly maybe leading to a casting announcement for the current James Gunn universe.

Maybe we will get that as well.

I know there are a number of frontrunners.

None of them kind of excite me, but eventually we'll see where all of that lands.
