They're going to read this J. Michael Straczynski run, and then they get to this issue, and it would be like, well, what the heck is this?

Right.

Particularly younger readers, if they're not ready for it.

I never read the original Squadron Supreme miniseries or maxiseries.

I read the J. Michael Straczynski one, I think, in the 2000s, which recast Nighthawk as a black man.

And I liked that.

But this classic version, I haven't read very much of him.

For me, when I was reading Lovecraft and it was having an impact on me when I was through the 80s, early 90s, I wasn't really aware of how collaborative he was with the other authors, like how he let his friends at the time sort of use his mythos and encourage that.

My first exposure to seeing Lovecraft teamwork outside of Lovecraft himself was an episode of the real Ghostbusters cartoon, you know, Colette Call of Cthulhu, written by J. Michael Straczynski, who went on to create Babylon 5.

So you saw all these connections.

And Straczynski himself has written, you know, in prose and in television about cosmic menace.

These sci-fi guys.

Uh, he's the one that wrote Babylon five, you know, the whole series, the, the design, the whole thing.

crazy that they like between Gillen and then I think especially here with Ewing they were like let's take one of the most like gremlin villains we have and be like yeah but what if they were so hot what if like we made them just truly actually it might be the Tom Hiddleston effect honestly well it might just be the like we really have a hot Loki in the MCU we have to make that match

Actually, it kind of starts with, like, Olivia Coppell on the Straczynski run.

Because, like, we...

Like, the first version of a concrete lady Loki when he's in the body of Sif.

I don't think Straczynski's female Loki is actually that hot.
