Any true prophet, and of course the Lord himself, is always a sign of contradiction, normally to the people amongst whom they live.

There are many people who do not understand for one reason or another, why the prophet, why the Lord himself does the things that he does.

The Lord promises us that if we are to be prophets in the middle of the world, we will experience the same.

When we seek to follow the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, when we attempt to implement the gospel in our lives, in our institutions, in our schools, we will often encounter resistance.

This is not a sign that the gospel does not work or that it's not powerful unto salvation, but it does mean that the Lord's truth is often at odds with what the world considers truthful or valuable.

We want to pray to the Holy Spirit for wisdom and also the virtue of fortitude to continue to persevere, living in the gospel way, even when we experience resistance or misunderstanding.

We are not greater than the master if we seek to follow him.

No disciple is greater than his teacher.

If he has experienced this before us, so we will.

but we have all that we need at our disposal the grace of the holy spirit the love of god the communion of saints interceding for us in the lord's church which will never falter all our days may god bless you and let us continue praying for each other
