And so her prolific, um, her company carved out a niche as these prolific producers of true crime shows like Corrupt Crimes and Motive to Murder.
But the company had racked up debt of more than a million dollars in 2017 and was on the hunt for a bit of a cash injection.
Yeah, I mean, it happens in media prod- You go to, you do things, you go through, like, the production process, things don't get, make it to screen, and then you're down a couple of quid, or delays in production, and there's notoriously very little funding in TV and film right now.

And so she had told people that she was the heir to a famous aerospace fortune, and she had started her television career from the bottom up like everyone else, working her way up from a secretary to chief executive over more than four decades in business.
Her employees whispered that the queen of true crime had done it while scarred by a terrible tragedy of her own.
And that was that her 11-year-old sister had been murdered in a botched kidnapping.
