Sean Ronayne is an ornithologist, wildlife sound recordist, award-winning author and environmental activist who has spent his life immersed in nature.
His mission to record the calls of every regularly occurring species of bird in Ireland was captured in the documentary Birdsong and his memoir Nature Boy won Irish Biography of the Year in 2024.
It tells the moving story of how Sean's lifelong connection to nature has helped him to navigate various challenges and become the champion for wildlife and nature spaces that he is today.
