Kyle WintersGuestMubasher NawazGuestRigo VillaHostTo start, Kyle Winters lays out the current Cisco security and cybersecurity certification landscape.
This helps separate the security track, which is often centered on network security and Cisco security technologies, from the cybersecurity track, which focuses more on security operations center work like threat hunting, incident response, and forensics.

When it comes to our security and cybersecurity certification landscape, we've got a few different areas that we focus on.

So you can start with the CCNA cybersecurity and then go up to the CCMP cybersecurity.

We also have this CCMP security track, as well as the CCIE security track for experts.

Francois, I know some people ask us often, like, what's the difference between cybersecurity and security? The way I usually like to kind of frame that for people is You know, if you're very much wanting to take an exam that's focused on what the day-to-day is like inside of security operations center, doing things like threat hunting, incident response, forensics, the cybersecurity area is a great focus for you.

If your focus though is more on either network security or being able to operationalize Cisco's security offerings, the CCMP security and the CCIE security are the ways to go.

For each of these, correct me if I'm wrong, Francois, you got to take at least for the CCNA, it's just one exam.

And then there is a lab portion along with the core exam for the CCIE security.

Francis, do you have any thoughts as well as to kind of what level of career experience or expertise falls into each of these different certification buckets here?
Regardless of whether you're doing security, cybersecurity, networking, data center, we have the same standardized approach.
