Anyway, the other update we've got is that we did an event last week called Churches and Chapels on the Air.
Yes.
Go
on.
Yes, so we mentioned this on last week's show.
And the basic idea is that we were going to set up an amateur radio station, or two in fact, at our local church and try and get out and contact other churches.
It's an international event.
Although amusingly, they were doing it the same time as we were, but in their local time zones.
So whilst we were operating from 10 till 4, America was also operating from 10 till 4, which meant there was a one hour overlap between between three and four o'clock our time when we could have contacted the usa so a little bit of a um a missed opportunity there i think but we had a bit of a false start trying to get everything set up so we weren't actually on the air until probably heading up for about 12 o'clock midday But once we were there, we had the two stations set up.
Obviously, I'm not going to go into too much technical detail because, well, because no.
But one of the stations we had was a real slog, real hard work to get anything out of.
And in the four and a bit hours that we were operating that station, we managed to get a grand total of four contacts there.
I got two.
Caroline got one, which I am incredibly pleased about.
And I think, was it Peter that got the fourth one?
Yes.
Yes.
So, yeah, that was really quite hard work.
But that particular band just wasn't active.
It just wasn't working for us on the day.
But...
Our friend Rob, who was on the other side of the room, was operating on a different frequency.
And I think he managed to get 22 contacts by the end of the session, which was a lot better than the four.
But there weren't only churches, there were, I think it was only a couple of churches.
