My First 100 Mile Ultra Marathon (Jackpot 100 in Las Vegas, Nevada)

The 100 mile jackpot 100 is a 100 mile race.

So a nonstop race for 100 miles.

And how it works is it was a 2.5 mile loop.

In a kind of a desert area in Nevada.

So it was a 2.5 mile loop 40 times for 100 miles.

And it took me 26 and a half hours just straight through from start to finish to get it complete.

And I ended up finishing way higher than I had planned.

and when i finished and got over the finish line after 26 and a half hours i was told i was in the top 10 out of 35 people and then when i looked back on the leaderboard the following day it said 11th out of 38 people um so i have no idea what position i finished in whether it was 10th or 11th which wasn't a goal going out there the goal was one to complete the 100 mile race and the second goal was to potentially try and do it in 24 hours but as i was running i realized that that just wasn't going to happen The last 20 miles were quite character building, which I'll get on to a little bit in today's episode.
